Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of operators, technicians, and line leaders in the sheet metal workshop
• Plan and monitor daily production activities in coordination with the planning team to meet delivery deadlines and optimize resources
• Ensure consistent compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and work with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams for timely resolution
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and 6S practices to drive efficiency and minimize waste
• Track and report key production KPIs (OEE, yield, scrap rate, on-time delivery)
• Provide hands-on training, coaching, and performance reviews to develop a capable and motivated team
• Drive process improvement through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate across departments (planning, engineering, quality) to ensure smooth communication and alignment
• Support cultural transformation on the shop floor with a focus on accountability and safety awareness

Job Requirements

• Extensive experience in sheet metal manufacturing, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, surface treatment)
• Familiar with CNC machinery, tooling setup; experience with AMADA machines is a plus
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Solid understanding of manufacturing planning, capacity control, and inventory management
• Familiar withLean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis)
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin will be an advantage, as the role involves coordination with Mandarin-speaking team members

• Able to manage change, motivate teams, and maintain high shopfloor discipline
