Job summary

A leading energy company in Singapore is seeking a Trade Finance Specialist to manage trade transaction processing. Responsibilities include handling receivables and payables, coordinating with operations, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Strong interpersonal and quantitative skills are essential. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in handling payments/invoicing/trade finance.
  • LC knowledge will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Handle receivables and payables for physical products trading transactions.
  • Import LC issuance and Export LC negotiation.
  • Review trade contracts.
  • Coordinate with Operations on trade and shipment information.
  • Follow up on the approval for payments.
  • Handle payments for cargo and direct expenses.
  • Maintain updated trade information in the system for month-end accounts closing.
  • Provide information on receivables and payables for Treasury's cashflow planning.

Job description

This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of trade transactions, i.e. receivable and payable of oil & gas trades. It involves verifying trade details, reconciling discrepancies and collaborating with traders and operations team to resolve payment issues swiftly.

  • Coordinate with Operations on trade and shipment information.
  • Follow up on the approval for payments.

  • Any other duties as assigned.
