Overview

The School of Science and Technology at JCU Singapore offers both under- and postgraduate degrees in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, IOT etc.

Due to the continuing success of the IT programs and the increasing demand for graduates in this field, we are now seeking suitable candidates for the position of Sessional Lecturer/tutor (Part-time teaching staff) in any related areas and with a special focus on the following disciplines:

  • Information Technology
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data Science
  • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
  • Internet of Things
  • Game Development and 3D Animation

The appointees will be experienced academic / faculty members and will be responsible for teaching and supervision in related subjects across both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in IT, Cybersecurity and Science. Applications are invited from candidates with a master\'s (postgraduate) qualification with a focus in IT or related discipline. A relevant degree plus industry experience may suffice for lecturing at the undergraduate level. Membership in professional bodies and associations will be an added advantage.

  • Significant contribution to the profession, and/or discipline.

Selection Criteria:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (for teaching at the postgraduate level, a Bachelor\'s degree, supported by relevant industry experience will be enough for undergraduate teaching).
  • A publication record relative to career stage.
  • Evidence of quality teaching and supervision of students at under- and postgraduate levels.
  • The ability to teach across a range of subjects at various levels.
  • Evidence of academic leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relations with colleagues in an academic environment and with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
