About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join an ongoing digital transformation initiative for a government sector project. The selected candidate will design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications and workflows to automate processes, integrate systems, and deliver secure, scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and best practices.
• Develop and maintain custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine, including data models, access controls, business logic, and user interfaces.
• Build and customize Service Portals with AngularJS, Bootstrap, and CSS, including custom widget development.
• Implement automated workflows using Flow Designer and Integration Hub for process automation.
• Configure and leverage MID Server for secure on-premise integrations.
• Integrate external systems via REST / SOAP APIs, applying authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0 / SAML.
• Ensure secure configurations through role-based access control (RBAC) and cross-scope access control.
• Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and enforce coding standards.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and maintain documentation for developed solutions.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in ServiceNow development (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions).
• Hands‑on experience with App Engine Studio and App Engine Templates.
• Deep knowledge of Service Portal customization, Now Experience UI Builder, and Table Builder.
• Expertise in Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and MID Server.
• Understanding of REST / SOAP integrations, OAuth 2.0, SAML, and payload parsing (JSON, XML).
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM).
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and Agile development methodologies.

Certifications (Preferred)

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
• ServiceNow Implementation Specialist (App Engine or ITSM)

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of ServiceNow development experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on App Engine development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering customized ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments.
