Job summary

A maritime service provider in Singapore seeks a Marine Electrical Technician to provide support and maintenance for marine systems. Job description

We are seeking a Marine Electrical Technician to join our team in Singapore. The role involves providing technical support and maintenance for marine equipment and systems.

Employment Details
  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Position: Service Technician
  • Location: West (Nearest MRT: Clementi/Bukit Batok)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (Flexible to work on short notice, including night time, weekends and public holidays)
Job Scope
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, as well as repair electrical systems and components onboard marine vessels.
  • Handle electrical panel wiring and machine cable routing.
  • Perform workshop-based testing and calibration of equipment.
  • Coordinate and supervise external vendors or contractors when required.
  • Assist ship crew and Superintendent in identifying and ordering the correct spare parts.
  • Compile and submit detailed service reports upon completion of tasks.
  • Marine engines, generator sets maintenance, servicing & troubleshooting.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within the given timeline.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors and customers on site installation jobs.
  • On-site installation & commissioning.
  • Perform other related service jobs as may be assigned.
  • Flexible to work on short notice, including night time, weekends and public holidays.
Requirements
  • Possess at least an ITE Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Skilled in reading and understanding electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Solid knowledge of shipboard electrical systems including:
  • Engine monitoring and control systems
  • Ballast Water Treatment Systems
