Job summary

APAQ Group is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer to support installation, maintenance and calibration of meteorological and air-quality monitoring systems in Singapore. This field-based position involves frequent travel to customer sites and outdoor work in Singapore's climate.

Ideal candidates have a relevant engineering qualification and strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and communicate clearly in English. Weekend or public holiday work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and calibrate meteorological and air-quality monitoring instruments and systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
• Diagnose equipment faults and carry out troubleshooting, repairs, component replacement and functional testing.
• Prepare accurate service, installation, commissioning, maintenance and calibration reports.
• Record site observations, instrument readings, test results and corrective actions taken.
• Conduct product and system training for customers and prepare relevant training materials.
• Provide technical support for project proposals, system development and equipment selection.
• Support environmental monitoring and testing projects, including equipment operation and sample collection.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians and workers to ensure site activities are carried out safely and properly.
• Maintain company tools, test equipment and instruments in good condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational requirements.

We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance and calibration of meteorological and air-quality monitoring systems.

This is primarily a field-based role involving frequent travel to customer sites and outdoor work under Singapore's hot and humid weather conditions. Work locations may include rooftops, schools, industrial facilities and construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma or relevant qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Environmental, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in instrument operation, calibration, maintenance or troubleshooting is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, sensors, data loggers or communication systems would be an advantage.
• Comfortable performing hands-on outdoor fieldwork and working at different customer sites.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Good spoken and written English, with the ability to prepare clear service reports.
• Self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn.
• Able to work outside normal working hours, including weekends or public holidays, when required.
• Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.

Fresh graduates with a positive attitude and a strong interest in technical fieldwork are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for a Senior Service Engineer position.
