Qualifications

Service Technician (6-month Contract)
Job Overview

We are looking for an independent and reliable Service Technician to support deployment, maintenance, and servicing of terminals, kiosks, and related systems on a short-term basis. This role is critical in ensuring smooth on-site operations, reliable connectivity, and timely resolution of technical issues, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Requirements
  • Nitec/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, IT, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a Service Technician or similar role, preferably with exposure to IoT, fintech, or consumer electronics.
  • Knowledge and experience in both hardware and software troubleshooting(IT and networking).
  • Prior experience with POS/terminal device configuration is an advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently for on-site maintenance and deployments.
Responsibilities
On-Site Support for Deployed Terminals
  • Execute scheduled service tasks and update progress records in internal systems.
  • Coordinate service appointments with clients and stakeholders.
  • Perform on-site tasks including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ensure service timelines and quality standards are met.
On-Site Maintenance Activities
  • Perform battery replacements and station servicing as required.
  • Conduct terminal and network connectivity testing.
  • Carry out site signal testing and document results.
  • Maintain detailed service logs and records.
Terminal Deployment & Retrieval
  • Plan and schedule deployment or retrieval of terminals when required.
  • Verify inventory, configurations, and readiness of devices before deployment.
  • Document changes, updates, and technical activities in relevant records.
  • Coordinate with higher-level technical teams for troubleshooting unresolved issues.
