Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Singapore seeks a Field Service Technician to perform scheduled and retrofit work on automatic door systems, covering mechanical, electrical and electronic components. The role requires meticulous site troubleshooting and accurate reporting of activities to clients.

You will conduct testing, commissioning, risk assessments, and propose practical upgrades while maintaining service vehicles and tools in top condition.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and retrofit work on automatic door parts; mechanical, electrical and electronic.
• Troubleshoot and conduct site checks on automatic entrances; propose parts recommendations for user consideration.
• Provide site reports to clients for completion of works.
• Testing/commissioning, decommissioning and risk assessment of all automatic entrance related systems and products.
• Propose upgrades of automatic door entrances and feasible solutions for existing doors.
• Keep the assigned service vehicle in good roadworthy condition and maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Stay updated on product information and technical know-how for ASSA ABLOY and competitor products.
• Maintain all tools and equipment in good working condition and replace damaged items promptly.
• Any other duties assigned by management or your supervisor.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Field Service Operations:
  • a. Carry out schedule and retrofits automatic door parts; mechanical, electrical and electronic
  • b. Troubleshoot and conduct site check on the automatic entrance and propose parts recommendations for user consideration
  • c. Provide site report to client for the purpose of completion of works,
  • d. Testing/commissioning. Decommissioning and conduct risk assessment of all automatic entrance related system and products
• Others:
  • a. Propose upgrades of automatic door entrances as well as providing feasible solutions to clients existing door entrances
  • b. Keeping assigned service vehicle in good road worthy condition and to upkeep vehicles cleanliness and hygiene at all times
  • c. Keep updated on product information and technical know-how for both ASSA ABLOY products and competitor’s product
  • d. Maintaining all tools and equipment provided in a good working condition and to exchange timely when tools/equipment provided are found damaged or reasonably wear and tear observed
