A global service company is seeking a Service Technician in Singapore to provide technical support and maintenance for chemical feed and monitoring equipment. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Engineering, 2 years of relevant experience, and strong mechanical and customer service skills. Responsibilities include supporting sales representatives, startup assistance, and equipment maintenance across the island.
The Ecolab Service Technician (INST) is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and servicing of chemical feed and monitoring equipment to customers. They also manage routine service tasks, help with new application startups, and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring system assurance plans are executed effectively.
Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts to execute agreed upon customer system assurance plans.
Assist Sales Representatives with start-ups of new applications in both existing customers and in new accounts.
Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer pain points, escalating as required.
Execute Chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at assigned customer accounts.
Install, calibrate and maintain chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment at assigned customer accounts. (Including on-board vessels/ cruise)
Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of successful technical service or field sales support experience
Must have a valid class 3 Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with specialty chemical industry experience
Practical computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)
Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
Can work in a high pressure and physically demanding environment
Willing to travel across the island to assist in the maintenance and recovery of faulty equipment.
Willing to be on standby at least one weekend in a month to assist in the maintenance and recovery of any faulty equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
