Job summary

A leading logistics and supply chain firm in Singapore is seeking a candidate with expertise in material control and inventory management. The ideal applicant has at least 3 years of experience in supply chain logistics, particularly in the heavy machinery or oil and gas sectors, and is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Key responsibilities include coordinating logistics activities, tracking inventory, and facilitating documentation, with a willingness to work at remote sites during outages.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate material control activities for planned and unplanned maintenance, including customs clearance and logistics.
  • Expedite delivery of materials and ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory management at customer warehouses.
  • Track serialized parts and consumables, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare reports on stock movement.
  • Arrange shipping and logistics for parts sent overseas for inspection and repair.
  • Plan and support dispatch of technical advisors, including visa/work pass applications, accommodation, transport, and site access.
  • Provide administrative and sales support, including document control, purchase orders, invoicing, and payment tracking.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes for meetings, track follow-up actions, and maintain accurate customer and sales records.
  • Coordinate reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of performance and forecast reports.
  • Monitor customer needs and support marketing initiatives related to after-sales services.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, material control, or maintenance planning for heavy machinery.
  • Relevant experience in power or oil & gas industry, or companies involved in heavy machinery manufacturing, maintenance services, or process plant operations is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, managing customer supply chain and contractor manpower at site.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work at remote power plant sites (e.g., Jurong Island) during outage periods.
