Job description
Service Engineer (Medical Equipment & Device)

Location: Kallang (Nearest mrt: Bendemeer)
Working hours: 5 days, Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 5:45pm
Salary: $4000 - $5500

Responsibilities
  • Carry out all warranty, preventive, and breakdown service jobs assigned on a monthly basis.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule, ensuring proper time planning and appointment setting with customers.
  • Plan and balance workload efficiently to achieve the organizational target of job turnaround within 72 hours (excluding weekends and public holidays).
  • Maintain accurate equipment history records for each customer and department, updating the Sales Operation Manager (SOM) regularly to ensure real‑time tracking.
  • Prepare job sheets, obtain customer approval, and coordinate with the SOM for invoicing with the correct spare parts.
  • Coordinate with the SOM to prepare quotations for the right decision‑maker and follow up for updates.
  • Ensure timely job sheet closure to expedite billing and help reduce accounts receivable and inventory holding.
  • Operate in compliance with ISO procedures and all risk management guidelines.
  • Plan and coordinate with customers to minimize time and resource wastage.
  • Prepare and track quotations and purchase orders for breakdown repairs.
  • Ensure on‑site response within 10 hours during office hours, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with biomedical engineers in key accounts to enhance customer satisfaction and create competitive advantage.
  • Attend all required training sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement by providing constructive feedback to manufacturers.
  • Share knowledge and conduct cross‑training sessions internally to enhance the competency of other engineers; organize and provide training for biomedical engineering departments.
  • Gather and share field information, provide recommendations to the Service Manager, and contribute to best practice sharing based on customer feedback and personal experience.

  • Minimum Diploma in Biomedical / Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 2–3 years of working experience in a hospital environment or engineering consultancy firm.
