Job description

Our client, a global provider of advanced electronics systems and solutions for industrial and marine applications, is seeking a Service Engineer to support equipment production, installation, and commissioning. This is a hands‑on role for a proactive engineer who enjoys problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met. The position is based in Singapore.

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing installation, service, and commissioning tasks, providing electronics support to customers, and ensuring all work complies with manuals and acceptance criteria. You will also identify and report quality issues, support operational improvements, and supervise technicians and subcontractors as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform production, service, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Communicate additional customer requirements to supervisors.
  • Receive and inspect customer‑supplied products.
  • Ensure all work meets manuals and customer acceptance criteria.
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct post‑installation commissioning and quality verification.
  • Supervise technicians and subcontractors during production, service, and installation activities.
  • Prepare and endorse service reports.
  • Perform other electronics duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum NTC/ITC or Diploma in Electronics Engineering, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in marine electronics or offshore industry systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of computers, electronics, and telecommunication systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work across teams and supervise multiple stakeholders effectively.
