Job summary

Gul Circle is seeking a Marine Field Service Engineer to support marine engines and pumps. The role includes on-site installations, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic work aboard vessels.

You will respond to shipboard call-outs, perform sea trials, and provide technical maintenance recommendations while coordinating with internal teams on retrofit projects. Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Eng and 3 years of vessel field service required; occasional overseas travel 5–10% is

Qualifications

• 3 years vessel field service experience required.
• Strong communication and field service skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated technical service representative for marine engines and pumps.
• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and overhauls on marine equipment and onboard systems.
• Attend shipboard call-outs to deliver field technical support, conduct sea trials, and respond to emergencies.
• Analyze operational failures to establish root causes, execute corrective actions, and formulate maintenance recommendations.
• Draft field service reports, maintain maintenance logs, and identify replacement spare parts.
• Collaborate with internal engineering/project teams to address complex issues and execute equipment retrofit or upgrade projects.
• Travel locally and overseas for vessel attendance, including on-call duty rotations.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the designated technical service representative for key Marine engine and pump manufacturers.




• Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and overhauls on marine equipment and onboard systems.




• Attend shipboard call-outs to deliver field technical support, conduct functional sea trials, and respond to emergency breakdowns.




• Analyze operational failures to establish root causes, execute corrective actions, and formulate technical maintenance recommendations for clients.




• Draft comprehensive field service reports, maintain detailed maintenance logs, and identify necessary replacement spare parts.




• Partner with internal engineering and project teams to address complex technical issues and execute equipment retrofit or upgrade projects.




• Perform local and overseas travel for vessel attendance, including participation in on-call duty rotations as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.




• Minimum 3 years year of experience in vessel field service




• Open to overseas travel approx. 5-10% for training purpose
