Job summary

A leading laboratory equipment distributor is seeking a Service Engineer in Singapore to provide technical and engineering support for scientific instruments. The role requires at least 5-8 years of industry experience, practical knowledge in instrument repair, and the ability to troubleshoot at the PCB level. This permanent position offers a basic salary plus variable bonus and the opportunity for international travel.

Qualifications

  • Position Title: Service Engineer
  • Working Location: Marsiling
  • Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday – Friday (8.30am – 6pm)
  • Salary Package: Basic Salary + Variable Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical, engineering, and application support for Hitachi SEM systems and other assigned equipment.
  • Conduct routine and corrective servicing of scientific instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Handle equipment setup, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to instruments, including PCB boards and electronic components.
  • Support and maintain failure analysis (FA) lab tools across both Malaysia and Singapore locations.
  • Advise customers on suitable spare parts during servicing and repair activities.
  • Responsibilities may evolve based on operational needs and management direction.

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Good team player with sharp analytical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with SEM/ EDX systems is an added advantage.
  • Willing to attend service calls and travel internationally when required.
