Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a candidate to provide hands-on technical support for semiconductor machines. The ideal applicant will have a degree in engineering, good English communication skills, and the ability to travel. Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus, but candidates are welcome to apply if they are willing to learn and grow within the role. Training on machine operation will be provided.

Job Description

• Provide hands‑on technical support for semiconductor machine installation, setup, buy‑off, upgrade, troubleshooting, repairing and preventive maintenance at customer sites both local and overseas.
• Prepare reports, including service reports, and provide feedback on technical issues related to machine performance.
• Update management and other concerned personnel on the activities and progress of the job.
• Respond to customer requests to troubleshoot problems and take corrective actions within deadlines by communicating and working closely with HQ and sales personnel.
• Conduct training on proper operation of the machine at customer sites.
• Develop and maintain close relationships with customers.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a diploma, bachelor's degree, post‑graduate diploma, in engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent. Candidates with hands‑on experience in the semiconductor industry are also encouraged to apply.
• 1‑2 years of working experience in the semiconductor industry is an added advantage.
• Candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal, for communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate in Japanese is an added advantage for internal communication.
• Candidate must be willing to travel as and when required (to client offices).
• Be mature and able to work independently; a trustworthy team player with high integrity of confidentiality.
