Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of marine propulsion systems, electrical components, and control systems.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical systems, PLCs, sensor networks, and motor control systems.
  • Support customers both onsite and remotely, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and system calibrations.
  • Assist in sea trials, testing, and validation of propulsion and control systems.
  • Prepare service reports, documentation, and feedback for engineering improvements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software teams on system integration and problem investigation.
  • Provide training and guidance to customers, operators, and shipyard personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, compliance requirements, and company service protocols.
  • Participate in global service assignments when required (regional or overseas travel).
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Marine Engineering, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, control panels, and industrial/marine equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, CAN bus networks, sensors, actuators, and electrical schematics.

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
  • Willingness to travel and support shipyard or vessel-based assignments.
  • Experience with system commissioning or vessel sea trials.
  • Good communication and customer-handling skills.
