Do you thrive working with complex and large equipment? Do you have offshore or maritime experience? Look no further, MacGregor is looking to hire a Service Engineer with Mechanical and hydraulic competence.

The purpose of this role is to repair and maintain work for MacGregor product range, plus 3rd party crane maker if needed. To ensure the work is carried out efficiently, accurately, in a professional manner and supporting management and rest of organization in necessary areas and to support Service overal goals and budgets. In your role you\'ll need to ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE and other rules and requirements according to MacGregor standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include professionally supervising and/or performing service activities such as refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions on MacGregor Cranes and equivalent equipment and continuous development of own skills.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Provide information and write reports as required.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Enable feedback from customers and the service market in general to reach the appropriate MacGregor organization
  • Stay up to date with relevant developments, routines, processes and news within MacGregor major customers active in business area
  • Co-operate with the local MacGregor service network
  • Comply with all relevant safety and quality requirements
  • Follow all site safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
  • Recognize service and spares sales opportunities and communicate that to the relevant persons
  • Support sales activities such as follow-up on leads and quotes while at site, as agreed with sales responsible.
  • Coach/tutor colleagues and trainees as necessary
  • Awareness of the profitability in department.
  • Job management of the subcontractors.
  • Need to work irregular schedule, some time with short notice assignment
  • At times, to travel with vessel for job assignment

Reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Singapore.

Ideally you have

  • Technical education or similar relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar industry
  • Experience in marine industry with crane experience/Electrical & Hydraulic is preferential
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
