Job description

We are seeking a Service Engineer to support customers across Southeast Asia and globally. The ideal candidate has experience with Integrated Control Monitoring Systems (ICMS) and propulsion/steering control systems. Hands-on exposure to main engines and thrusters is an advantage. The role includes onboard service work, commissioning of retrofit/refit projects, remote technical support, and contributing to a backend knowledge pool for the field service team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support, commissioning, and field service for assigned automation and control system products.
• Conduct service activities throughout Southeast Asia and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Perform workshop testing, system checks, and technical preparations.
• Ensure proper planning, execution, and completion of assigned work to meet performance expectations.
• Prepare service reports and update technical documentation, including drawings and cable information databases.
• Offer remote technical guidance, support commissioning activities, and assist in managing retrofit/refit projects.
• Provide technical support to the sales team when required.
• Manage pre- and post-service administrative tasks.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 3–5 years of field experience in alarm monitoring and control systems, with strong knowledge of computer hardware and basic software.
• Experience with marine automation systems, propulsion controls, distributed control systems, and power management.
• Relevant experience in the maritime industry is preferred.
