Job summary
A leading engineering service provider in Singapore seeks a Marine Engineer to service and troubleshoot new generation 2-Stroke engines. The ideal candidate should hold a diploma in Marine Engineering or related field, possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, and be willing to work onboard vessels. Key responsibilities include engine repairs, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring documentation compliance.
Qualifications

- Core knowledge and sailing experience on electronic controlled engines.
- Willingness to travel for on-board work.
Responsibilities
- Attend to service and troubleshooting of new generation 2-Stroke EC engines.
- Carry out service and repairs on various engine components.
- Handle onboard overhaul of 2-Stroke engine fuel pumps.

Education
Diploma or higher in Marine Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to service and troubleshooting of new generation 2-Stroke EC engines (e.g., ME-B, ME-C) and dual-fuel engine components.
- Carry out service and repairs on:
HPS (incl. chain drive)
HCU (incl. FIVA valve, Alpha lubricator)
ECS modules
- Perform modifications for EPL in compliance with IMO regulations.
- Handle onboard overhaul of 2-Stroke engine fuel pumps (e.g., Wärtsilä RTA, MAN MC), including valve replacement, injection timing adjustment, and VIT system work.
- Assist in inspection, installation (including alignment), repair, upgrading, troubleshooting, and overhaul of diesel engines and auxiliary equipment.
- Liaise with agents, ship owners, Class, sub-contractors, and internal teams to arrange permits and coordinate work.
- Provide timely reporting to customers and the Department Manager on job status and technical issues.
- Prepare risk assessments, checklists, job plans, and conduct toolbox meetings.
- Control job costs, track man-hours and materials, and ensure timely documentation and approvals.
- Prepare service reports, investigation reports, repair proposals, and spare parts lists in line with company formats.
- Prepare Gantt charts for job schedules.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition and ensure safety compliance at all times.
Requirements:
- Diploma or higher in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience with Engine Makers or Marine Industry on new generation engines.
- Service knowledge on HPS,HCU,ECS, FIVA
- Possesses Seaman book and has core knowledge and sailing experience on electronic controlled engines
- Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as required.
