Service Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical)

On behalf of one of its clients in the Engineering sector, the French Chamber of Commerce is recruiting a Service Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) for a leading agency, distributor, and systems integrator in Singapore, representing a select portfolio of overseas principals who design and manufacture high-quality pharmaceutical equipment and consumables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of technical issues directly on‑site, and implement solutions with minimal assistance.
  • Liaise with European manufacturers to resolve client issues.
  • Prepare site work, draft procedures, and participate in Site Acceptance Tests with clients, partners, and suppliers.
  • Deliver and install spare parts on clients’ premises, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Write detailed and illustrated service reports after each on‑site intervention.
  • Provide remote technical support to clients via phone, WhatsApp, and email.
  • Maintain and update service project documentation, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
  • Manage spare parts flow: receive and verify deliveries, prepare delivery documents, and handle RFQs from clients.
  • Request quotations from suppliers and partners, and prepare tailored offers for clients.
  • Ensure regular project follow‑up through ongoing communication with clients, suppliers, and partners, both locally and overseas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of P&ID, hydraulic and wiring diagrams, as well as equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and responsive, with a strong team spirit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
