Job description

Our client is a German high-tech equipment manufacturer specializing in advanced non‑destructive testing (NDT) and acoustic microscopy systems widely used in semiconductor wafer inspection, packaging, and failure‑analysis applications.

The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our client's Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM) systems at customer sites in Asia.

Responsibilities
  • Perform system installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning at customer facilities.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical/software issues.
  • Provide on‑site and remote technical support to customers to ensure smooth equipment operation.
  • Support failure analysis and root‑cause investigations when equipment issues arise.
  • Prepare service reports, documentation, and update service logs accurately.
  • Train customer engineers and operators on the proper use and maintenance of SAM systems.
  • Coordinate with headquarters (Germany) for technical guidance, escalation, and spare parts planning.
  • Travel within Asia for service assignments, sometimes at short notice.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials Science, or related engineering fields.
  • Semiconductor industry exposure is preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome.
  • Strong interest in semiconductor process, test, inspection, or NDT equipment.
  • Good hands‑on troubleshooting skills (electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation).
  • Customer‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.
  • Able to work independently at customer sites and willing to travel frequently within the region.
