Job Description
Provide technical, including after sales support to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of medical equipment (typical but not limited to magnetic resonance, endoscopy, mammograms, digital radiography, computer radiography) including:
- Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up
- Researching, evaluating, and recommending upgrades and service contracts that will meet customer needs
- Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business
- Resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased
The Service Engineer applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. He/she works independently with general supervision. He/she may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
Responsibilities include (besides those stated above):
- Handle phone enquiry and support for customers during office and after office hours.
- Attend to daily service requests, breakdowns, and service support to marketing.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance for medical equipment as part of scope of works under Maintenance contract
- Support Sales in organizing, preparing and standby for workshops, events and surgery procedures, seminars, exhibition.
- Communicates with reports to Service Dept in Fujifilm Japan for more complex troubleshooting
- Study Engineering Change Notice as issue by Fujifilm Japan Service Dept
- Implement Technical Service Recalls as issue by Fujifilm Japan Service Dept
Skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine), a standard for Medical Imaging and related information (ISO 12052)
- Knowledge of HL7 (Health Level Seven) standards for the exchange, integration of electronic health information.
- RIS (Research Information Systems) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication system)
- Ability to install, configure and manage Basic Server infrastructure and Networking, Windows and Window Server Operating Systems.
- Setting up of test environment
- Knowledge of Fujifilm Medical products in X-ray, Digital Radiography, Dry Laser Printers, Digital Mammography systems
- Knowledge in Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering
- Need to attempt examination for Radiation Workers License with NEA radiation protection division
