Job description:
- Greeting customers “Irashaimasse!”
- Introduce menu items to customers
- Serve food and beverages to customers’ tables, and clear them after meals
- Take the initiative to refill (free‑flow) tea, cabbage and rice for customers
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of service/dining area
- Check and pack delivery orders
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned (e.g. cashiering, sweeping/mopping the floor)
- Part‑time salary: $12/ hour onwards
- Full‑time service crew salary: $2,100 – $2,600 with employee benefits, performance bonus and career development opportunities
Requirements:
- Warm and cheerful personality. Good team player.
- Attentive to customers
- Practices good personal and food hygiene
- All successful candidates will have to attend a 1‑hour service excellence training
- Prior service experience is preferred but not necessary
- Must be able to commit to work for at least 4 months, including on weekends
- Please note that we have a split shift as the restaurant is closed from 3‑5pm. Staff meals are provided after each split shift
