Job summary

In this role, you will design and execute sensory and consumer research methodologies, manage sensory panelists, and analyze data to support product innovation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and has at least 2 years of experience in sensory evaluation, preferably in the food and beverage industry. About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sensory Specialist to join our Research & Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of sensory and consumer studies to support product innovation, quality improvement, and business growth. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement sensory and consumer research methodologies, including discrimination, descriptive, and hedonic testing.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and performance monitoring of sensory panelists.
  • Conduct statistical analysis of sensory & consumer data and provide technical report with actionable insights to guide product development and decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support research and development activities.
  • Maintain and manage sensory laboratory, including procurement and administration of sensory tokens and other testing-related materials. Oversee sample preparation and ensure adherence to testing protocols.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and projects related to sensory testing and product evaluations, ensuring timely delivery of results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Sensory Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sensory evaluation, consumer insights, or product testing (experience in food and beverage industry preferred).
  • Proficiency in sensory methodologies and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with sensory/consumer software tools such as XLSTAT is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
