Job Scope
- Provide strategic leadership and directions to manage daily warehouse operations and achieve desired results as per SOP and KPI.
- Define requirements for operation and ensures the implementation of new strategies, technologies and initiatives to drive overall performance.
- Ensure all goods in the warehouse are properly collected, received, handled, accurately sorted, identified, value-added, transferred and dispatched.
- Enforce security and work safety measures and controls in the warehouse.
- Monitor department budgetary control and allocation of resources to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
- Constantly look for improvement opportunities along the value chain, to streamline and re-engine the processes to achieve and exceed the service standard or target.
- Establish and cultivate a good team culture of best practice sharing within the program to motivate staffs to voice out their opinions.
- Plan and provide on-the-job training to individual staff to improve work performance and productivity.
- Ensures stock inventory records are kept up to date.
- Ensure storage and office areas are well maintained.
Specific Accountabilities
- Recruitment of staff and take disciplinary action on staff when required.
- Approve staff leave application, transport and medical claims
- Approve requisition of items for warehouse usage
- Approval on petty cash, packaging materials and operation consumable
Skills Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, Access, VBA)
- Proficient in using and creating operations dashboards to identify focus areas and drive improvement (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Excellent presentation skills and experience in presenting to senior management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in resolving problems creatively.
- Frequently voice out opinions and share best practices to improve team performance.
