We are looking for new colleagues! Are you a Veterinary Technician or Nurse who has registration with professional veterinary associations (American/ Australian/ British/ Canadian) with work experience in a specialist referral hospital/ advanced or general practice?

  • Degree, Diploma or certification (American/ Australian/ British/ Canadian) in Veterinary Technology/ Nursing relevant studies.
  • Minimal 5 years of work experience in anesthesia/ cardiology/ diagnostic imaging/ ECC/ internal medicine/ oncology / ophthalmology/ radiology or surgery within a clinical practice.
  • 2 years prior team management experience preferred.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and concise communication skills.

Work scope:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Be the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarian to ensure the best quality pet care and to maximize the veterinarian’s productivity.
  • Lead communications with veterinarians and veterinary medical team to maintain the flow of pets.
  • Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times. This includes performing procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance, completing preparatory work for other procedures, ensuring that clients and pets are comfortable in the hospital, and monitoring hospitalized or surgical pets.
  • Obtain relevant information and history from clients to maintain proper and complete medical charts.
  • Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols while maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exams rooms and labs.
  • Educate clients about preventive care, pet health needs, any diagnosis or treatment, hospital services and other related matters.
  • Assist with surgery as applicable.
  • Utilize technical skills to the fullest, within mandated regulations regarding duties of credential veterinary technicians.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
