Job summary

DRW is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its options trading desk. The role focuses on designing, building, and deploying trading applications and tools as part of an algorithmic trading team.

You will work with researchers, traders, and other developers to solve complex technical problems. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with C#/.NET desktop applications and UI development, plus the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional software development experience focused on C#/.NET desktop apps.
Strong understanding of C# UI development and tooling.
Ability to read/write high- and mid-level architecture documentation.
Comfort with a fast-paced environment and latest technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and maintain data-intensive desktop applications and reusable libraries using C# and modern .NET.
Develop and maintain systems to ensure application performance, integrity and reliability for maximal up-time and robust logging and traceability.
Profile and improve rendering, memory usage, concurrency, reactive data pipelines, and startup performance.
Collaborate with quantitative researchers, traders, and other developers.
Own software through its full lifecycle, including design, implementation, automated testing, instrumentation, deployment, staged rollout, and production support.
Leverage AI-assisted and agentic development tools to accelerate delivery and improve software quality.
