Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior Tunnel Engineer to oversee the bored tunnelling operations. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in TBM bored tunnelling and a bachelor's degree in engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring compliance with project protocols, while coordinating with project stakeholders. Shift work is a requirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of TBM bored tunnelling experience.
• Large diameter bored tunnelling experience (over 10m).
• Hydro-Shield TBM experience if applicable.

Job description

(A) Job Summary:

The Senior Tunnel Engineer produces work plan and supervises the bored tunnelling work to deliver the product to the requirement of the project. He/she is expected to work well with the teammates to achieve the shared goals. Working in shifts (Day/Night) will be required.

(B) Essential Job Functions:

The Senior Tunnel Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Provide planning of tunnelling operation from safety, quality, and productivity viewpoint.
• Provide engineering supervision to bored tunnelling operation, including final ring selection and selection of key.
• Ensure the work is done in compliant with the protocol established for the project.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Any ad-hoc task that assigned by the manager.
• Report to Tunnel Manager / Deputy Tunnel Manager / Sr Tunnel Engineer.

(C) Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:

• Recognized bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of TBM bored tunnelling experience.
• Large diameter (over 10m diameter) bored tunnelling experience.
• Hydro-Shield TBM experience (if applicable)
