Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer for our Singapore team. The role involves leading traffic and transport projects across Singapore and SE Asia, applying core traffic engineering principles, and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of experience, strong software skills (CAD, GIS, SIDRA, simulation), and excellent English communication. A Master’s degree is preferred and a civil/traffic engineering background is required.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years’ experience applying traffic engineering principles (traffic assessments, advisory studies, TMPs).
• Working knowledge of CAD, GIS, SIDRA, simulation software, and MS tools.
• Ability to mentor teammates and guide software usage in projects.
• Ability to independently manage tasks/projects, liaise with clients, stakeholders and partners.
• Provide technical expertise in traffic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic/transport projects and coordinate teams.
• Guide others in using CAD, GIS, SIDRA, and simulation tools.
• Perform analytical tasks and apply latest techniques in traffic engineering.

We are seeking for an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Singapore based team which covers work domestically as well as across SE Asia region and other overseas markets. We are seeking staff with ideally between 8-10 years’ experience in traffic and transport projects to lead projects including experience with the application of traffic engineering principles such as traffic assessment studies, development advisory studies, temporary traffic management plans etc. Working knowledge of some software tools including CAD, GIS, SIDRA, simulation software and Microsoft tools is expected as well an ability to work as part of an integrated team of staff.

Responsibilities / Job Description:

• Between 8-10 years’ experience with the application of traffic engineering principles such as traffic assessment studies, development advisory studies, temporary traffic management plans etc
• Working knowledge of some software tools including CAD, GIS, SIDRA, simulation software and Microsoft tools
• Ability to work in a team andto guide others in the use of the above software and works and perform and lead related analytical tasks in traffic engineering and well-versed in the latest techniques and trends
• Able to independently carry out task or project management including liaising effectively with clients, stakeholders and partners on project requirements, expectations and coordination where required
• Provide technical expertise in traffic engineering.
• Degree Holder in related disciplines: Civil/Traffic Engineering, Mathematics, Urban Planning/Design, Geography or equivalent
• Master’s Degree will be considered favourably.
• Good Communication (written & spoken) skills in English
