A prominent construction firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled professional to lead and manage waterproofing works for various projects. The role requires at least 5-8 years of relevant experience in waterproofing materials and systems, including technical compliance and site inspections. Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields, and have strong leadership and problem-solving skills. This position provides opportunities to work independently and contribute to high-quality construction standards.
Lead and manage waterproofing works for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
Provide technical expertise on waterproofing systems (membrane, coating, injection, crystalline, etc.)
Review drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure technical compliance
Conduct site inspections to ensure works are carried out according to approved methods and standards
Identify waterproofing defects, carry out root cause analysis, and propose corrective solutions
Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and clients on technical matters
Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and progress documentation
Provide on-site technical guidance and training to junior engineers and supervisors
Ensure compliance with BCA, PUB, project specifications, and safety regulations
Perform water ponding tests, flood tests, and other quality assurance checks
Evaluate materials and recommend suitable waterproofing systems for different structures
Monitor material usage and ensure proper application procedures
Resolve technical issues and site challenges promptly to avoid delays
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, or related field
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in waterproofing works
Strong knowledge of waterproofing materials, systems, and application methods
Experience handling defect rectification and leak investigation is an advantage
Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
Good communication and coordination skills
Familiar with local construction standards and regulations
Leadership and team management skills
Problem-solving and analytical mindset
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Proficient in technical reporting and documentation
