A leading solar energy company in Singapore seeks a Senior Tax Manager for maternity cover. This role involves managing tax compliance and advisory matters, overseeing transfer pricing documentation, and ensuring GST compliance. The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of tax experience, preferably in a Big Four firm, and strong knowledge of Singapore tax regulations. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for all tax matters including but not limited to tax advisory and compliance matters in REC, formulate and improve existing processes, review tax filings and reports, and resolve issues and inquiries such as transfer pricing, corporate tax matters, group restructuring, and lead/support in occasional ad‑hoc projects.
Works directly with affiliated company’s Transfer Pricing Team and formulate new or improve existing REC processes to align various REC teams to meet affiliated company’s Transfer Pricing guidelines and requirements. This includes engaging and managing external TP consultants to determine appropriate:
The role is required to lead the preparation and coordination of all transfer pricing documentation at the group level and at each local entity level (Singapore/US/Germany/Japan/China/Norway)
Monitor local tax regulations in all REC markets including any upcoming changes and updating the management timely.
Proactive coverage of interfaces between various REC regions and affiliated company’s Tax Team to ensure alignment with affiliated company’s Tax guidelines and requirements.
Assist in coordinating appropriate responses to tax audits in any REC markets.
Oversee Singapore GST compliance, including the review and approval of monthly GST filings prepared by the Finance team.
Review and ensure accuracy of Singapore withholding tax (WHT) filings for payments to non‑residents.
Liaise with external consultants and local finance teams to address GST, WHT, and other indirect tax queries across REC entities as needed.
Ensure timely submission of all indirect tax filings and identify opportunities for process improvements or risk mitigation.
Support ad‑hoc reviews of customs duties, import/export tax implications, and property tax assessments.
