Job summary

A maritime management company in Singapore is seeking a Deputy Fleet Manager to oversee the safe operation of Oil/Chemical Tankers. The candidate should have at least 1 year of sailing experience as Master and 5 years of shore-based experience. Strong leadership and commitment to safety are essential. The role involves compliance with regulations and supervision of inspections, ensuring vessels meet international safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sailing experience as Master on Oil / Chemical Tankers.
• Minimum 5 years of shore based experience.
• Added advantage if the candidate has worked on Coated and Stainless Tanks.
• Professionally sound, highly motivated & a good team player.
• Good leadership qualities & strong commitment to safety / compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the safe operation of a Fleet of Oil / Chemical Tankers.
• Ensure compliance with company, SMS, international and local regulations.
• Supervise tank cleaning operation and ensure safety of navigation.
• Conduct in-depth investigations as required and ensure certification documentation is up to date.
• Supervise preparation of vessels for various 3rd party inspections.
