Job description

Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Lead the design, build, and deployment of turnkey infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on Linux-based systems.
• Install, configure, test, and commission telecommunications and IT solutions.
• Perform Linux OS hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation following security benchmarks.
• Prepare technical documentation, implementation guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

Operations & Support

• Provide rotational or standby support for mission-critical Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Linux servers, networks, and firewalls.
• Conduct VAPT assessments and ensure timely remediation.
• Work closely with global vendors to elevate and resolve technical issues.

Client & Vendor Engagement

• Act as the technical point of contact for requirements gathering and solution discussions.
• Conduct technical briefings, workshops, and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with vendors on system enhancements, integration, and security updates.

Leadership (Senior Roles)

• Guide and mentor junior engineers, particularly in Linux technologies and best practices.
• Ensure team adherence to engineering, security, and documentation standards.
• Lead structured knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

Qualifications & Certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Certifications such as RHCE, CKA, CEH, OSCP, CCNP, VCP, NSE, PCNSE, AWS, or cloud/Linux-related credentials are advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Proficient in Linux hardening, patch management, and compliance enforcement.
• Experience with Windows Server is useful but secondary.
• Solid networking knowledge (L2/L3, VLANs, routing, TCP/IP, BGP).
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls.
• Familiarity with VAPT processes and remediation.
• Understanding of IM8, ISO27001, PDPA, and security frameworks.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper‑V, or private cloud; knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and public cloud (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Good documentation and presentation skills.
• Collaborative team player, self‑driven, and adaptable.

Others

• Willing to participate in on‑call support schedules.
