THE ROLE:

Join a dynamic global team focused on advancing package reliability testing at the board and system level for AMD's cutting‑edge processor and accelerator products that employ innovative chiplet and CoWoS/3DIC technologies. Work closely with cross‑functional teams within AMD Global Operations, various business units, and an external, worldwide supply network. A leadership role in spearheading board and system level reliability initiatives, driving impactful programs to ensure AMD product quality and reliability.

THE PERSON:

You are a proactive, independent subject matter expert who drives continuous improvement through strong technical and analytical skills. You’ll be expected to anticipate future needs and collaborate cross‑functionally. Demonstrated ability to create innovative problem solutions for complex technical challenges, to identify critical technical gaps, to make reasonable, simplifying assumptions, and to do so all under significant time‑constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Architect, design and develop the setup, program, and procedure for board and system level reliability testing.
  • Enhance / develop board and system reliability requirements.
  • Adapt, re‑design, and optimize existing test procedures/programs.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts and suppliers for relevant reliability testing on incoming critical components.
  • Enhance data management for package reliability engineering lab, bridging empirical data to field life analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on failure root cause investigations and drive continued improvement plans.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product testing development
  • Quality & reliability experience in board and server form factors
  • Knowledge of system architecture, design, debug and validation
  • Experience with common lab equipment, including oscilloscope, JTAG etc.
  • Strong analytical/problem‑solving skills and attention to details
  • Must be a self‑starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
  • Ability to structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary conclusions/recommendations to senior management and AMD customers / partners.
  • Ability to network, build relationships, and collaborate to drive effective decision‑making across multiple functions and levels within AMD.
  • Prior experience with reliability testing tools and environments, defect tracking and revision control.
  • Experience with Computer Architecture concepts and silicon features.
  • Experience with programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Python)
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor in Electrical & Electronics engineering, Computer engineering.
