Job summary

A not-for-profit hospital in Singapore is seeking a Senior/Staff Nurse to provide compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals with mental health conditions. Responsibilities include planning and evaluating nursing care, providing education to patients and families, and supervising junior staff. Candidates must hold a valid Singapore Nursing Board license and preferably have an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health). Who We Need

You will work alongside the Nursing Leaders to deliver patient-centered and compassionate nursing care to individuals with mental health conditions.

Plans, provides and evaluates nursing care according to patient's needs, doctor's orders and hospital policies.

Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.

Ensure adherence to hospital and nursing standards, policies, and best practices.

Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients at all times.

Keeps Senior Nurse Manager/ Nurse Manager / Doctor informed on patient’s condition, treatment, intervention and outcome.

Supervise and mentor new and junior nursing staff, fostering a supportive and effective nursing team.

How to Succeed

Possess either a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board license.

Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health) preferred.

Previous experience in acute care hospital, especially in psychiatric ward is an added advantage.

Strong communication skills and the ability to listen actively and empathetically

Patience and emotional resilience, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations

Strong team-player, self-starter with strong sense of initiative, agility and perseverance in starting and building a strong culture in performance & engagement.

A genuine interest in mental health care and the intention to pursue this specialty with dedication and compassion

Comfortable with performing 3-rotating shift.
