Job summary

Infineon Technologies Singapore is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead yield optimization, drive NPI programs, and develop automation and analytics solutions that boost manufacturing performance. You will collaborate with foundries, design teams, test houses and cross‑functional stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges, accelerate product ramp, and deliver world‑class semiconductor solutions.

The role requires strong background in wafer fabrication or device engineering and fluency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in Wafer Fabrication Integration, Product/Device Engineering, or related semiconductor functions.
• Strong knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes in high-volume environments.
• Experience with yield improvement, process optimization and product lifecycle management in semiconductor fabrication.
• Excellent English communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
• Programming and automation experience with Python, JavaScript, and AI/ML tools is preferred.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Lead yield management initiatives in high-volume manufacturing through yield trend monitoring, detractor analysis, and root cause identification.
• Drive yield improvement roadmaps by implementing corrective actions and tracking continuous performance enhancements.
• Act as the key technical liaison between foundries, design teams, and test houses to resolve yield and manufacturing challenges.
• Evaluate process split performance using advanced data analytics to optimize process targets and improve product manufacturability.
• Assess design-to-fab sensitivities and provide recommendations for process and product optimization.
• Collaborate with business units, project stakeholders, and supply chain teams to support engineering test requests and sample delivery.
• Develop automation solutions and digital tools to streamline technical reporting, data analysis, and engineering workflows.
• Leverage advanced data analytics platforms and yield engineering systems to accelerate insights, enhance decision-making, and support digital transformation initiatives.

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in Wafer Fabrication Integration, Product Engineering, Device Engineering, or related semiconductor engineering functions.
• Strong knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes, with hands-on experience in high-volume production environments.
• Solid understanding of yield improvement, process optimization, and product lifecycle management within semiconductor fabrication.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to effectively engage cross-functional and global teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to engineering challenges.
• Programming and automation experience preferred, including Python, JavaScript, AI/Machine Learning tools, or other software development capabilities to support digitalization and process improvement
