Job summary

Garena's Shared Game Services (SGS) is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to build scalable, robust platform services for Garena's games. You will drive reliability, performance, and automated workflows across Linux-based systems and Kubernetes clusters.

Responsibilities include deploying and tuning services, capacity planning, incident response, and documentation. A minimum 3 years in SRE with strong Linux/Kubernetes skills is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Engineering, IS or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time Site Reliability Engineer experience.
• Strong Linux experience (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
• Hands-on Kubernetes knowledge and ecosystem experience.
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS) and OS basics.
• Proficiency with Bash, Python or Go and problem solving under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deep dive into development lines to promote scalability, stability and performance.
• Set up, manage and maintain product, middleware and big-data apps and services.
• Perform server-side deployments, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Design and develop automations for workflows.
• Capacity and resource management.
• Oversee full-chain stress tests to improve performance and reduce redundancy.
• Prepare routine operation documentation.
