Job summary

Changi General Hospital Pte Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Speech Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with voice and swallowing disorders in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will work with adults, plan evidence-based treatments, monitor progress, and contribute to education and clinical training. A collaborative team environment supports patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent).
• Experience with adult patients with voice and swallowing disorders.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in multiple languages/dialects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in a logical and sequential manner, generating and testing a hypothesis reasoning.
• Analyse patients' problems directly related to the conditions referred, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning.
• Plan and implement treatment, reflecting current available scientific evidence, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness of intervention.
• Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, prepare and maintain records and reports as appropriate, ensuring adherence to confidentiality requirements.
• Participate as an active member of the care team via attending relevant ward / unit rounds, clinics, meetings and in research and work improvement activities.
• Contribute to achievement of departmental action plan, collaborating with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
• Contribute to learning and growth through active participation in departmental clinical education and clinical training initiatives.
• Supervise and facilitate learning of support staff / students / junior staff / peers as required.
• Oversee Therapy Assistants on performance of duties to ensure safe and effective treatment.
