Job summary

A technology training company in Singapore is seeking a Technical Training Specialist to conduct training sessions for customers and in-house personnel. This role involves developing training materials, overseeing equipment availability, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, at least 3 years of semiconductor industry experience, and strong proficiency in English, alongside skills in Microsoft Office. This position may require travel to support overseas customers.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of wire/die bonding technologies is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with macros in MS Office is a plus.

Job description

The technical training specialist conducts formal training sessions to “in‑house” and customer personnel at home office & customer locations.

  • Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.
  • Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation.
  • Review & ensure training materials are updated regularly by the Asian trainers.
  • Provide necessary technical guidance to Asian trainers on product training.
Responsibilities
  • Conducts K&S equipment training for both internal & external customers on or off site as required using classroom or e‑learning methodology.
  • Research develops & writes technical training courses using classroom or e‑learning methodology on new & current K&S equipment & update course related materials.
  • Maintain complete records for each presented for general course validation & updating for measuring specific student progress & database records.
  • Oversees all instructional equipment, supplies & materials are available, adequate and in working condition.
  • Undertakes & develops customized training assignments to meet special needs of customers as required.
  • Improves training services & quality targeted at total customer satisfaction through the review of trainees’ feedback.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessitated by business conditions or changes.
  • Ensures training materials are updated in a regular basis by the Asian trainers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in an Engineering‑related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry; knowledge of wire/die bonding technologies and experience in training is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with macros is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) is a plus to support communication with regional customers.
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 10-20%) to support overseas customers.
  • Demonstrates confidence and independence in problem‑solving and professional interactions with minimal supervision.
  • Shows enthusiasm for learning and taking on new challenges.
  • Customer‑oriented mindset with a commitment to fulfilling training needs that support long‑term business relationships.
