Job summary

TALENTVIS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, improve and support aerospace manufacturing and component repair processes in Singapore. You will drive safety, quality, delivery and cost targets, and lead problem-solving using Six Sigma and Lean methods.

The role requires strong hands-on troubleshooting, collaboration across Operations, Quality and Engineering, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in aeronautical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of high-bypass gas turbine engines and aerospace materials.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve and support manufacturing and component repair processes to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, improve and support manufacturing and component repair processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, Product Safety and Quality requirements while promoting a Zero Harm and Zero Defect culture.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for engine strip/build, balancing, runout, in-situ repair and component repair processes .
• Support manufacturing processes involving welding, machining, painting, coating and related repair activities .
• Lead investigations into process and product quality issues and drive corrective actions using Six Sigma / DMAIC and structured problem-solving methodologies .
• Manage and support FAIR, MSA, NADCAP , process changes, source changes and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Define manufacturing engineering requirements and provide technical decisions within the assigned area.
• Drive Lean, productivity, Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support introduction of new processes, methods and capabilities (NPI) and ensure production readiness.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, programmes and tooling requirements.
• Work closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, suppliers and other cross-functional stakeholders to improve manufacturing performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering .
• Diploma holders in the above disciplines with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Good knowledge of high-bypass gas turbine engines .
• Knowledge of aerospace material and component repair processes , including welding, machining, painting and coating.
• Strong hands-on technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Six Sigma / continuous improvement knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, engineering and project management skills.
