Job summary

Amazon Web Services Singapore Private Limited is seeking a VMware Specialist Senior Solutions Architect to work with customers across ASEAN on VMware workloads on AWS. The role focuses on architectural guidance, best practices, and thought leadership in cloud and virtualization.

You will collaborate with a team of domain experts, contribute to customer success, and represent AWS at conferences and events while driving modernisation of workloads on the AWS platform.

Qualifications

• Strong VMware expertise (vSAN, NSX, vSphere) and reliability features like vMotion/DRS.
• Understanding of VMware vRealize and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
• Experience architecting solutions on AWS and integrating VMware workloads on AWS.
• Familiarity with network, storage, and security in cloud architectures.

The ASEAN Specialist team at AWS is looking for a VMware Specialist Senior Solutions Architect to work with our customers across ASEAN. If you enjoy working on advanced technologies on the cloud and have a strong background with VMware technologies, we’d like to meet you. Your work will help our ASEAN customers leverage the benefits running their workloads on AWS.

Key job responsibilities

As a VMware Specialist SA in the ASEAN Specialist Team, you bring in the critical VMware experience that will help us address the requirements of our customer’s workloads. You will be the go-to person for providing guidance on AWS architectures and best practices for customer workloads. In this role you will be

• Architecting for running customer workloads on AWS.
• Helping customers modernise their workloads leveraging the power of AWS.
• Authoring blog posts, whitepapers etc. showcasing your thought leadership
• Representing AWS in large conferences.

Basic qualifications

• Strong understanding of VMware technologies like vSAN, NSX & vSphere among others
• Strong understanding of resilience features such as vSphere High Availability, vMotion, and DRS
• Understanding of VMware vRealize and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products and techniques.
• Familiarity with infrastructure architecture- network, storage & security among others.
• Knowledge of architecting solutions on AWS.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience architecting for workloads on AWS.
• Industry/Cloud Certifications including AWS & VMware certifications
• Technology breadth- Broad understanding of key technologies such as Databases, Modern Application Architectures, Data & Analytics & Security
• Experience migrating workloads to AWS.
