Job description

Our client is a pioneering Defence & Marine Technology company at the forefront of autonomous systems development in Singapore. They are building the next generation of autonomous naval vessels that operate intelligently on water - integrating AI, robotics, and advanced network communications.

This is a rare opportunity to work on real, field-deployed autonomous vessels - not simulations. Your code will go to sea.

The Role - Be Part of Our Success

You will join a multidisciplinary team of software, robotics, and systems engineers working on full-stack autonomy for naval platforms. From requirements gathering to sea trials, you will own the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for mission‑critical systems.

What You Will Do:
  • Work in a diverse team to gather software requirements, design, implement and test autonomy software for unmanned naval vessels
  • Execute full SDLC - from architecture and design to implementation, testing and deployment
  • Write well-designed, high-quality, testable code in C++ for real-time, autonomous operations
  • Develop and implement comprehensive software testing and validation plans to ensure robustness at sea
  • Conduct software integration and testing with actual vessel systems - your software in real hardware, on real water
  • Research and bring in the latest developments in robotics software, AI, and autonomous systems - bring new ideas to the team
  • Document and maintain software design, testing and validation artefacts to high engineering standards
  • Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, controls and systems teams
