SGX Group is seeking an Assistant VP, Software Engineering to lead and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure software for our market infrastructure. You will work with product, architecture, and delivery teams to drive engineering excellence and resilient platforms, while guiding engineers and advancing modern cloud-native practices in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production-grade applications across front-end, back-end, APIs and platform services in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver well-tested, maintainable software and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong hands-on skills with modern languages and frameworks (Python, Java, Go, TypeScript) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, IaC and automated testing; observability tooling like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Security-by-design mindset, resiliency patterns and operating in high-availability environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; capable of cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, ICT, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver scalable, secure software solutions for SGX Group's critical platforms.
• Provide technical leadership through solution design and engineering discipline.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and delivery teams to accelerate innovation.
• Mentor junior engineers and uplift team capability.
• Advance agentic AI usage across the SDLC for faster, higher-quality features.
