Job summary

EPAM Systems in Singapore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build cloud-native, event-driven applications using Java, Spring Boot, React and Kafka. You will design microservices, ship through CI/CD and operate on Azure.

You will collaborate with product, QA and engineering peers in Agile ceremonies, troubleshoot production issues and drive reliability improvements while delivering robust APIs and integrations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Java development in enterprise environments.
• Strong background in Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience building front-end features with React.js, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and container tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD workflows and production support practices.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and database integration patterns.
• Nice to have background in banking or financial services.
• Cloud certifications are a plus (Microsoft Azure preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Build and enhance full stack features using Java, Spring Boot and React
• Design microservices and event-driven workflows using Apache Kafka
• Create and maintain REST application programming interfaces (APIs) and integrations
• Improve delivery pipelines using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
• Deploy and run services on Microsoft Azure using containers
• Partner with product, QA and engineering peers in Agile ceremonies
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive reliability improvements

Requirements

• Proven experience with Java development in enterprise environments
• Strong background in Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience building Front-end features with React.js, JavaScript, HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns
