Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Cloud & DevOps to design, build, automate, and support scalable cloud platforms and enterprise apps in a banking context.

You will design cloud-native solutions using AWS and microservices, implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab, and manage infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes/EKS. Strong scripting and monitoring capabilities are essential, along with security practices.

Qualifications

• Experience designing cloud-based platforms in enterprise environments.
• Proficient in building scalable, secure cloud architectures.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Knowledge of banking tech, security, and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable cloud-based applications and platforms.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Docker.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable cloud-based applications and platforms using AWS, Java, and microservices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Docker.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform .
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes/EKS environments for enterprise applications.
• Implement REST APIs and integrate enterprise applications and middleware.
• Automate application deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and operational processes using Python and shell scripting .
• Implement monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK.
• Implement cloud security controls including IAM, KMS, WAF, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve application/platform reliability.
• Support high-availability, disaster recovery, and resiliency initiatives.
• Collaborate with software development, infrastructure, security, and architecture teams.
• Follow banking technology, security, change management, and production support standards.
