Job summary

Google Singapore is hiring a software engineer to join the Google Pay for Business team. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain mobile software and APIs across client apps and backend services.

Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to ship user-facing features in a dynamic, scalable environment. You will write high-quality Flutter code, ensure accessibility, and leverage AI tools to speed development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with large-scale application design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with Hybrid, iOS or Android mobile application development, using Flutter, Java, Kotlin, Swift or Objective-C.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve mobile software, from user-facing applications to server-side APIs.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to define and implement user-facing features in a changing environment across all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with large-scale application design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with Hybrid, iOS or Android mobile application development, using Flutter, Java, Kotlin, Swift or Objective-C.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with the full software development life-cycle, such as launching and maintaining mobile applications.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Knowledge of payments, Ads or Maps tech stacks.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and best practices for mobile applications.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in using AI tools for development workflows.
