Job summary

EPAM Systems in Singapore is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (AWS/Snowflake) to design and build reliable data pipelines, curate raw data into an in-house data warehouse, and deliver trusted datasets for BI and advanced analytics.

You will also drive data quality improvements, support platform migrations in a regulated environment, and champion engineering standards across the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building data pipelines and warehouse datasets for BI and analytics use cases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Amazon RDS and AWS Fargate.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake, including performance and data modeling considerations.
• Working knowledge of ETL patterns and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in programming with Python and/or Java for data engineering workloads.
• Experience with ETL tooling such as AWS Glue.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Clear communication with the ability to align stakeholders on requirements and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute migration activities from existing databases to the in-house data warehouse
• Champion data engineering standards and practical best practices across the team

Nice to have

• Certification in AWS Data Engineer Specialty or AWS Solution Architect Associate
• Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments
• Familiarity with enterprise agile ways of working such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe
