Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Software Engineer (AI Native SDLC) to build AI-powered workflows that enhance how teams design, code, test and ship software. You will develop developer agents using large language models and RAG, then integrate them into Git, Jira and CI/CD to move from prototypes to production-ready automation.

You will design and implement agentic workflows, apply RAG and embeddings to ground outputs, and ensure reliable, secure delivery in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, Python or .NET with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on with large language models (OpenAI GPT, Gemini, Claude).
• Experience building GenAI apps using LangChain or LangGraph and integrating into production SDLC workflows.

Se nior Software Engineer (AI Native SDLC)

You’ll build AI-driven workflows that improve how teams design, code, test and ship software. You’ll develop developer agents using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and frameworks like LangChain, then integrate them into Git, Jira and CI/CD to move from prototypes to production-ready automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI developer agents that generate, refactor and document code at scale
• Build agentic workflows using tool calling, memory, planning and multi-step reasoning
• Apply retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns, embeddings and vector search to ground outputs in trusted sources
• Prototype quickly to validate value, then harden solutions for reliability, security and maintainability
• Integrate AI workflows into the engineering stack across Git, Jira and CI/CD pipelines
• Define evaluation approaches for quality, latency, cost, safety and regression detection
• Partner with stakeholders to translate delivery needs into AI-augmented SDLC solutions
• Communicate trade-offs, risks and controls to align with enterprise goals

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skill sets in Java, JavaScript, Python or .NET
• Hands-on experience with large language models such as OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude
• Experience building GenAI applications using frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph
• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, chunking strategies and prompt design
• Experience integrating AI into production SDLC workflows, including Git-based delivery and CI/CD
• Understanding of evaluation and guardrails for GenAI systems, including quality checks and safe output patterns Track record of building, testing and shipping working solutions in iterative delivery cycles
