Job summary

MARKONO PRINT MEDIA PTE LTD is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build and maintain scalable applications and microservices for printing, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and e-commerce workflows.

You will develop APIs, integrate with internal and third-party platforms, and use AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring security, performance and maintainability. A strong systems background and experience with AWS and CI/CD are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering delivering and operating production systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or TypeScript/Node.js with modern front-end exposure.
• Strong system-design fundamentals and experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience in e-commerce, digital-content, marketplace or transaction platforms; payments or fulfilment exposure is a plus.
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools, with disciplined validation of generated output.
• Experience with AWS, containers, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and production support.

Job description

Software Delivery & Architecture

• Design, build and maintain scalable, secure applications and microservices-based systems supporting printing, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and e-commerce workflows
• Develop APIs and integrations with internal and third-party platforms
• Use approved AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, to accelerate software delivery
• Ensure code quality, security, performance and maintainability

DevOps, CI / CD & Cloud Platforms

• Build automated tests and CI / CD pipelines
• Deploy and support reliable services on AWS
• Work with infrastructure teams on monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery
• Ensure production stability and efficient incident response

Printing & Operations Enablement

• Support software systems integrated with printing equipment, manufacturing lines, and operational workflows
• Work with operations teams to translate process requirements into system capabilities
• Ensure system readiness for SIT, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support
• Provide technical guidance during operational incidents and production issues

Governance, Risk & Accountability

• Identify and address technical, security and delivery risks
• Comply with cybersecurity, data protection and responsible AI policies
• Ensure clear ownership boundaries between IT, business, and vendors
• Maintain proper documentation, handover, and knowledge transfer

Engineering Team Leadership

• Lead technical design and code reviews
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices
• Partner with product and operations teams to deliver agreed outcomes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years' software engineering experience delivering and operating production systems
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, C# or TypeScript / Node.js, with exposure to modern front-end frameworks
• Strong system-design fundamentals and hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems and SQL / NoSQL databases
• Experience building e-commerce, digital-content, marketplace or transaction platforms; exposure to digital rights, payments or fulfilment is advantageous
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools, preferably Claude Code, with disciplined validation of generated output
• Experience with AWS, containers, CI / CD, automated testing, observability and production support
• Strong ownership, secure-coding discipline, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and influence across teams
