Job summary

quess selection & services pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced middleware engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise platforms.

You will act as an L2 escalation point for complex incidents, performance issues, and outages while owning full lifecycle management from installation to decommissioning. Responsibilities include architecting high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, ensuring security hardening, and automating tasks with scripting/DevOps.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of middleware experience across enterprise platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with IBM ACE, IBM WebSphere MQ, and DB2/WAS.
• Proficient in ESQL or Java for component development.
• Strong knowledge of SOA, messaging, and data integration.
• Experience designing SOAP/REST services and API architectures.

Responsibilities

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Involve in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise middleware platforms.


• Act as L2 escalation point for complex incidents, performance issues, and critical outages.


• Own end-to-end lifecycle management (installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, decommissioning).


• Architect and implement high availability (HA), DR, and resiliency solutions


• Ensure middleware security hardening and compliance (VAPT remediation, patching).


• Automate operational tasks using scripting or DevOps tools.


• Implement all stages of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Requirements, Logical and Physical Architectural Modelling, Design, Development, Implementation, Support, and Threat/Risk Assessment.


• Demonstrate success in coding with little to no errors, with problem-solving including root cause analysis, defining issues and recommending solutions.


• Communicate effectively on technical and/or business issues, ensuring that customers and teams have a clear understanding of solutions recommended and intended outcomes.


• Understand and guide other development teams around best practices to create web services or any other appropriate integration endpoints.


• Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements:

• 5–7+ years of relevant middleware experience.
